How swiping works

Look at the card and try to remember the answer. Tap the card to flip it. Then swipe right if you knew it, or left if you didn't.

You can also use the Knew it and Didn't buttons under the card. On a keyboard, press Space to flip, the right arrow for knew it and the left arrow for didn't.

Stuck? Before you flip, tap Hint or press H. Hints are free, and knowing a card with a hint won't space it out further. After the flip, tap Learn more or press W for more about the answer.

A card you didn't know comes back a few cards later in the same Zap, until you know it.

Each time you know a card, it waits longer before it comes back: 3, 7, and 14 days, then 30, 60 and 120 days. A card you miss comes back the next day.

Each Zap has up to 20 cards: the ones due today first, then up to 5 new ones, or 3 or 10 if you choose that in Settings (New cards per Zap).
